Madness and Folly at the End of the World is now on Amazon as a Kindle!
Set in 1959, during the height of the Cold War, two friends, Jack McGavock and Eddie Babineaux, were told they were in the first wave of evacuations after a warning of an impending nuclear attack. Jack's brother, Burt, is in Mississippi when he, too, is relieved of duty and told to evacuate. So the three men relocate to Jack and Burt's parents' campground, Camp Cowlick, in the tiny community of Steamboat Landing, Central Florida. But how to prepare for a nuclear attack? Nothing is working, and they search for a solution when they realize they need help. Their search takes them to Miami, where they find a Muscogee Reservation and seek assistance from Chief Lighthorse Officer Yahola Norton. They are in a race against time as the Norton family joins them at the campground. Now, Native knowledge is entering the community, and it's causing additional tension. When the bombs finally fall worldwide, everything changes. It's up to the local community, the survivors, to work together to make it through another day. Can they work together to create a new life after a nuclear bomb attack?
